State ranks fourth in foreclosure rate

With 9,199 new foreclosure filings reported in March, Arizona posted the fourth-highest foreclosure rate in the country — a distinction it has carried for three months in a row, the East Valley Tribune reported.

Statewide, foreclosure activity dipped 5 percent last month from February but still was up nearly 106 percent from March 2007, according to RealtyTrac, an online marketplace for foreclosure properties.
